Dr Cansu Jay Esen

Cansu Jay Esen, the proprietor and principal osteopath at Nexus Osteo, leverages over a decade of experience, offering a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to osteopathic care. Her extensive background includes working across several clinics in Melbourne's northern suburbs, where she has developed a deep understanding of various conditions and age groups, treating patients from all walks of life.

In addition to her specialization in women’s health and her personal interest in treating pregnant patients, Cansu’s practice covers a wide spectrum of conditions and age groups, ranging from primary aged children to the elderly. Her ability to treat musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, sports injuries, and more makes her a versatile and highly skilled practitioner. She tailors her treatments to each individual’s needs, ensuring that both acute and long-term health issues are effectively addressed.

Cansu’s experience in working with soccer and football clubs further enriches her expertise in sports osteopathy, allowing her to handle injuries associated with high-intensity sports. This experience complements her manual therapy techniques, including cupping and dry needling, which she uses to support recovery and prevent future injuries.

Moreover, she incorporates advanced techniques like electro needling into her practice. Electro needling, a method that combines the benefits of traditional needling with electrical stimulation, enhances muscle relaxation, reduces pain, and accelerates healing. This method is particularly effective in treating chronic pain, muscle spasms, and injuries that are resistant to conventional treatments.

She also specializes in facial needling, specifically for treating TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders and sinus problems, offering relief for conditions such as jaw tension, headaches, and sinus congestion.

Her patient-centered approach emphasizes long-term relief and empowerment through education, encouraging patients to actively participate in their health journey. Outside of her professional work, Cansu enjoys an active lifestyle, balancing motherhood with her passions for travel, culinary exploration, and maintaining personal well-being, which all contribute to her holistic view on health.
